Management Occupations drive medical industry hiring activity

Management Occupations, with a share of 24% new job postings, was the occupation with the greatest hiring activity in the Asia-Pacific medical industry in Q3 2023 , ahead of Computer and Mathematical Occupations with a 16% share of new job postings.

The other prominent roles included Sales and Related Occupations with an 8% share in Q3 2023, Business and Financial Operations Occupations with a 7% share and Architecture and Engineering Occupations with a 6% share of new job postings.

Top five companies accounted for 50% of hiring activity

Abbott Laboratories posted 1,085 jobs in Q3 2023 and registered a decline of 3% over the previous quarter, followed by GE HealthCare Technologies with 854 jobs and a 15% growth. Thermo Fisher Scientific, with 833 jobs, and Koninklijke Philips, with 790 jobs, recorded a 50% rise and a 28% drop, respectively, while Medtronic recorded a 95% increase with a 587 new job postings during Q3 2023.

India held the leading share of the Asia-Pacific medical hiring activity with a 37.19% share, a 4% increase over Q2 2023. China was next with 23.37%, four-percentage-point down over the previous quarter.
