Office and Administrative Support Occupations came in second with a share of 15% in Q3 2023, with new job postings rising by 49% over the previous quarter.

The other prominent electronic medical record (emr) systems roles include Computer and Mathematical Occupations with a 15% share in Q3 2023, Management Occupations with a 6% share of new job postings.

Top five companies in medical industry accounted for 65% of hiring activity

The top companies, in terms of number of new job postings tracked by GlobalData, as of Q3 2023 were CIOX Health, Netsmart Technologies, MDI Achieve, athenahealth, and Adena Health System. Together they accounted for a combined share of 65% of all electronic medical record (emr) systems-related new jobs in the medical industry.

CIOX Health posted 409 electronic medical record (emr) systems-related new jobs in Q3 2023, Netsmart Technologies 77 jobs, MDI Achieve 43 jobs, athenahealth 24 jobs, and Adena Health System 20 jobs, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.

Hiring activity was driven by the US with an 86.92% share of total new job postings, Q3 2023

The largest share of electronic medical record (emr) systems-related new job postings in the medical industry in Q3 2023 was in the US with 86.92% followed by India (7.44%) and Bangladesh (1.01%). The share represented by the US was seven percentage points higher than the 79.98% share it accounted for in Q2 2023.
