Argon Medical introduces Kodiak kit for vascular procedures

US-based Argon Medical Devices has launched the Kodiak Dual Port Coaxial Introducer Kit to support complex vascular procedures.

The device is designed to precisely introduce diagnostic and therapeutic devices into the vasculature in a streamlined manner.

Argon Medical president and CEO George Leondis said: “We take great pride in unveiling yet another innovative device designed for interventionalists who rely on top-tier products to achieve successful procedural outcomes.

“The Kodiak was developed to fulfil the unmet need for a durable introducer system resilient enough to accommodate the anatomical diversity frequently encountered in vascular procedures.”

Intended for various vascular procedures, the Kodiak Dual Port Coaxial Introducer Kit features a large-bore sheath and a unique Y-shaped adapter that allows physicians to introduce several components simultaneously through a single access site.

As a result, Kodiak helps to simplify complex procedures, especially when these procedures necessitate a robust device for efficient treatment delivery.

Argon Medical global marketing senior vice-president Tom Younker said: “The Kodiak Dual Port Coaxial Introducer Kit offers unmatched versatility and robustness, applicable to a variety of complex endovascular procedures that require the simultaneous introduction of multiple components into the vasculature.

“This new device further expands the portfolio of differentiated solutions we provide to our customers for their complex vascular procedures, demonstrating our commitment to helping them achieve their desired clinical outcomes more efficiently.”

Earlier this year, Argon introduced the TRAVELER Portal Vein Access Series to help physicians access the portal vein through the liver during Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt (TIPS) procedures.

The new TRAVELER Series, which includes TRAVELER16, TRAVELER21 and TRAVELER38, serves as the latest addition to the company’s portal vein access product portfolio.
